Customer service? More like Customer Avoidance.
Bought a groupon on 7/7 for discounted zoo entry. On 7/9 I went to the zoo with my family. I tried to view the voucher on my phone but their website was undergoing maintenance (great timing, mid day on a Saturday). I took a screen shot of the website maintenance message. "Groupon is temporarily unavailable. Either because we're updating the site or because someone spilled coffee on it again. We'll be back just as soon as we finish the update or clean up the coffee."
With no voucher I had to pay full price for my family to enter - no big deal since I'd request a groupon refund.
Fast forward 2 weeks...
After two unanswered emails to groupon, I tried to call their customer service line. Their customer service line instructs you to go on their website, since their customer service is now completely done through online chat.
Yesterday I was on their online chat platform with someone for about 3 hours, only having sent 8-10 total messages. There were pauses (on Groupon's end) of over 45 mins between messages. How did it end? I answered the questions posed and received no response nor resolution.
Today I'm back on their chat (yippee)... and they've just informed me, after 20 minutes, the voucher I purchased isn't eligible for a refund. I was told to read the fine print which states this was a final sale.
So... they can sell me tickets, but if I can't access them, then tough cookies for me.
Apparently now I have to wait to get an email from their resolution team.
Groupon provides a service with zero accountability.
This is my last time using Groupon and I advise you to stay away.

Paid for a oil change 60 bucks or so, Groupon instantly charged my credit card, but did not furnish me any kind of code to use. Contacted customer support, and the route Idiot said it would be about four hours before someone would get back to me. Whatever business you're dealing with, just go directly to them and ask for a discount, they'll be more than happy to give you one. Now, I'm having to dispute the charges on my credit card, because Groupon never gave me the coupon that I paid for.
SCAM
This is a scam. I purchased 4 coupons for Museum of Illusion in Toronto, $20 each. Coupons cannot be redeemed. No refund, no response from customer service. Lost my $80. Please don't buy anything from these guys. There is no option to give zero rating, else i would have given them a ZERO
Order Still Processing and no Refund
I bought a Washington Tour from groupon. The order said "Processing". Even after the event was over, it said processing. Now, they refuse to offer me a refund. Stay away from Groupon!!

This company is a joke! I purchased an item from Groupon, I tracked my order on-line it said “delivered” but I never got my item. Tried to reach out to their customer service - no response! I researched the shipment info myself: they sent my item via UPS to the USPS, not to my address! Who does this??? And now my package is stock somewhere in the middle! I will be canceling my Groupon account

Shocking company
Shocking, ordered Adidas gift cards and received numerous emails telling me when they expire and also the front page of the gift cards show the date only to be told now this doesn’t include the promotional one and they dates are different, now lost my money, why have 2 different dates but only advise you of one. False advertising. Never again

Purchased a Groupon for over $300 I couldn’t use it because the merchant had no availability and Covid hit. So I had to cancel. Groupon wouldn’t return my money. MY MONEY. So they issued a Groupon cash crap. I re purchased from a merchant. Price was higher. Again I couldn’t use it because of merchant issue. Now Groupon only refunded $90 of the over $400 I’ve sent funds for. What kind of rip of company is this???? I’ll be contacting bbb and also district attorney on this. And forming a gigantic civil law suit with other people who don’t get their refunds.

I bought a Costco membership thru…
I bought a Costco membership thru Groupon that came with a $40 coupon after membership activation. I followed all the steps and never received the $40 coupon. It still says I haven't activated the membership which I have. I have emailed them several times with no response. When I finally got a response they said it was a Costco issue. It is not. It's their coupon offer, not Costco's. Will not use Groupon again.

Groupon still better than Amazon/Walmart/Target...
I do online research for something I want to buy and with supply chain issues everywhere, I can't find what I want (wrong style/color/materials...) or if I do, it's really expensive.... but then it's better on Groupon. This last time, I was looking patio umbrellas and got a great 15' wide one for $105 on Groupon!

I bought a voucher and it was the worst cosmetical experience that I have had and the worst outcome!!!!! let me just say this. Groupon refused my refund!!!
Excuse me? Are you realistically telling me that after all my complaints and all the things that I have just explained in all the communications, you ARE NOT GIVING A REFUND?
I mean, and on top of it, the person is still available on your website and offering the same poor service, reaping people off money and hundreds of pounds with such a poor service?????
You tell me that this person can still provide services like this, and make microblading on human faces, like real cosmetical interventions on a person's face, with such a poor way, and on top of everything with copy pasted pics from google????
Do you understand that this person is not showing her real work and copy-pasted a picture of another person on her account???? Sorry but what exactly have you done against such a behaviour actually???? according to your very puerile and naive answers, I understand you have done NOTHING????
This person asked from me 50 pounds for a 1 hour cosmetical procedure, that would be supposed to last for months, and genuinely from the first week, you could tell that the lines are unfinished, the microblading was not done deep enough and it will last max 2 months instead of 12 months??????????????????????????

Awful customer service
Awful customer service. I purchased concert tickets before the pandemic. Concert was rearranged 4 times until finally took place in 2022. During that time I moved house but Groupon refused to send tickets to my new address stating the fine print that they had to go to address at time of purchase. Who knew Covid was on the way in 2019? Unrealistic fine print meaning I did not get my tickets

What a horrendous company
What a horrendous company. They clearly don't care about customer service, as their ratings are so low. I purchased a deal only to find out that I was actually charged more than if I had purchased directly from the company's website. So much for "saving". In addition, the customer service was awful, and they refused to give me a refund. Do not use this company. You're not saving on anything, in fact, they are stealing from you and pocketing money.

I need my money refunded to me back on my card. Also, just so you know I know how to cancel a getaway. I did not cancel, there were no rooms available at the hotel I made my reservation at. So we were stranded. I want my cash back.!!!!!!!! I paid for a hotel twice. The hotel does not issue Groupon bucks they deal in US currency which is how I paid you, refund me accordingly. That is the only resolution!

I ordered a MacBook Pro from Groupon
I ordered a MacBook Pro from Groupon, they claimed it was an A rated but when I received it, some of the keyboard letters will not respond and Laptop takes longer than normal to charge. I reached out to Groupon multiple times via chat and asked for a refund as the laptop is not functional and I’m still within my 30 day return window. They escalated and asked for photos, they told me to respond via email. When I responded there was an auto response stating you can no longer respond to this email. Now I’m back to square one, stuck and starting the cycle all over again after weeks trying to get through to someone for refund now I’m outside the 30 days. This is a SCAM and tactics used to rip you off. Customer service is impossible to reach and horrible. I would never ever recommend. It is scary because I feel that they sell our information to scammers too, how can we put our trust with our private information online into a company that doesn’t give one flying F about they’re customers. How is this company still operating and I’m going to report to the BBB. I’m not done yet. Someone need to stop this company from robbing people. This company is E V I L and a S C A M. No matter how a deal looks guys don’t buy it! You will never get your money back. You’ll be chasing your own tail like a dog.
